The Willmar City Council next week will consider options for replacing the ice refrigeration system at the Willmar Civic Center. Public Works Director Sean Christensen is recommending a $3.3 million project which would include system capability for three ice sheets along with indoor space for the Zamboni.

It was a full house Monday at the Willmar City Council meeting, as members of the public continued to speak out against Councilor Ron Christianson and the comments he apparently liked on Facebook. Also attending the meeting were members of Boy Scout Troop 224 working on a “Citizenship in the Community” merit badge.
